I forgot I had a blog

I just got a comment on this blog which reminded me that i had one lol. Ive got very behind but I thought I would do a post with Sammy's birthday pictures. My cousin to these great pictures i didn't ever have time during the party to take any lol. I still cant believe that he is one. He isn't walking yet but I'm sure it wont be much longer with the way he gets around. He recently learned how to use a straw and say hi when he has a phone its so cute. Ive been busy doing a lot of babysitting. I babysit my nephew and just started babysitting some neighbor kids. I had 5 boys in the house at once yesterday. Its not to bad since two of them are older. Ill try to post every once and a while but not making any promises lol.

Getting behind

I cant belive how much less time i have for blogging now that I have my own place again. I didnt relize i had so much free time wen I was living with my dad lol. I also have more space to clean than with my previous apartment so im still getting used to it but I love having more space. Im going to try to get back to blogging a couple times a week.

Playing In a pool

Sammy Played in his swimming pool for the first time yesterday and he loved it. I still need to take him to a real pool with a lot of water. I dont have a water hose so I didnt fill it up very much.

New Place

We finally got into our new place. Its been a crazy and busy few days and I am wore out, but I'm getting more sleep now that Sammy has his own room. I'm going to try to get back to blogging regularly again now that things are settling down. It feels so good to have our own place again.

Fried Rice

I got this fried rice recipe from one of my pen pals who lives in Malaysia. I haven't had a chance to make it yet but it looks really good. Asian food is my favorite kind of food, Italian comes in second. Ive never made fried rice before so this is going to be fun.

Ingredients

• Cooked Rice
• 1/2 Garlic
• 1/2 Onion
• 2 Chillies
• Salt
• Vegetables-I'm going to add corn, carrots, and peas but add whatever veggies you like.
• Chicken or I think Pork or teriyaki chicken would be great.
• Egg

Directions

• Cook 2 pots of rice and then let it cool at room temp.
• Take the Garlic, onion, and chillies, cut them up and then put them in the blender.
• Take the Garlic, Onion, and chillies mixture and put it on a wok (I'm guessing a frying pan will work the same) with a little bit of oil. Stir for a few minutes.
• Add diced chicken and fry until chicken is well cooked
• Add rice and mix well
• Then add vegetables
• Salt to taste
• Add egg and stir until egg is fully cooked

Makes enough for 5 people

Baby Clothes

I decided to take Sammy on a little walk before bath and bed time. We were walking down the street and this little white dog came running and barking at us. Sammy is not used to animals and it really scared him so he starts crying. I take him out of the stroller to comfort him and the owner of the dog came over saying she was sorry. I said it was ok Sammy's just not used to animals he is even scared of cats. We started talking and she though Sammy was the cutest baby (besides her own she has a 14 month old but he was already in bed. Poor baby has and ear infection because of teething) but who can resist Sammy with his big brown eyes and chubby little cheeks. She asked me what size clothes he wore. I said about 3-6 months. She said she had a box full of baby boy clothes she was taking to the goodwill if and was wondering if I wanted them. I looked through them and there was some really cute clothes. Is It was so much fun because my husband doesn't let me buy anymore baby clothes since he already has enough. He has like 8 times as many clothes as I do but only about 1/5 actually fit him. I have a lot of bigger hand me downs from my nephews. She also gave Sammy a little piano that lights up and he loves it. She just asked for him to stop by and visit every once and a while. Now Sammy has some cute new onesies and pajamas. He is also prepared for this winter with some nice big fuzzy sleepers.

Still Trying to Figure this out

I'm still trying to figure all this blogging stuff out. I though it would be easy since I can do just about anything on Myspace but this is completely different. I tried to change my background and it messed everything up. I'm still trying out how to fix some things with no success. I noticed I wasn't getting anymore comments after that and then someone sent me an email telling me they tried to comment me and it didn't work. I think I got if fixed though. I asked a friend to test it for me and it worked. I hope I can get all the problems fixed. Email me if you have any problems on my blog. I think I'm going to just keep my blog really simple no fancy background. The pictures of Sammy make it the best looking blog anyway :)

So Big

Today Sammy figured out how to pull himself up to stand. I wasn't ready for it I was still waiting for him to figure out how to bring himself to the sitting position. It surprised me because I laid him down on the floor and looked away for a minute and I looked back and he was standing. I love seeing him accomplish new milestones its so exciting.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

My dad had a bag of chocolate chips laying around so I decided to make some cookies. I didn't even have to search for a cookie recipe since they conveniently have one on the bag. I don't make cookies very often because I usually eat while I'm making them, which is really bad when since I'm still working on losing my baby fat. Who can resist cookie dough and chocolate chips? I cant! Then when they are done I'm going to want a cookie. This is a picture of the cookie I just ate before I started to blog now I'm going to have to go on a long walk to work it all off.

Rainy Day

Today the movies Push and Knowing came out and I really wanted to rent them. The closest RedBox is at McDonald's which is like a 6 or 7 minute walk. I left home with just a few diapers, wet wipes and cookies. Sammy usually gets really hot outside so i just put shorts and a bib on him. I get to McDonald's and rent the movies then I look outside and its pouring down rain. I get my phone to call my husband and it dies. I borrow McDonald's phone to call my husband and he didn't answer because he is still in bed with a headache. I don't know any other number since I'm very bad at memorizing them. There was another girl stuck there to, we started talking and she didn't live in Marshall and the only person who could pick her up was at work. We were stuck there for about 2 hours. Sammy got really crabby since he had no bottle and was getting a little cold. My poor baby. He was also getting impatient with me since he couldn't do what he wanted and crawl on the floor. The other girl had a wife beater that we put on him. He looked so cute and silly since it was like a dress on him. We left as soon as it became a light sprinkle. The other girl hung out with us until her ride came to get her. We watched Knowing which was kinda weird and it was definitely not what I expected. I probably won't ever watch that movie again, but if your into aliens, sci-fi stuff and the end of the world I would recommend it. I'm going to watch Push later when my husband gets home I think that should be a really good movie. From now on ill be sure to check the weather reports and make sure my cell phone is charged before we go on any walks again. I plan on going to Arby's tomorrow for their free Orange cream swirl shake that you get when you buy a roast burger. I haven't had one in years.

Pigs in a blanket

A camp that I used to work at during the summer would make pigs in a blanket as one of their breakfast and I loved them. They are also really quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

2-4 packages of croissants depending on how many you want to make

1/2-1 lb Little smokies

Cheese (optional)

Directions

Unroll the croissants and place a piece of cheese then a little smokey at the large end then roll them up and place on a backing sheet.

Bake according to directions on croissant package.

Too Cute

Me, mommy, and daddy went to Hy-vee to eat some Chinese food. Mommy gave me some chicken it was very good.
I was so cute that one of the workers gave me some free animal crackers. I have definitely mastered being cute. Everyone says its my big brown eyes.

Mommy had to go get some milk and wet wipes and I got a balloon.

Sammy's First

Yesterday was Sammy's first 4th of July. We were going to go to the park in the morning for all the activities they were having but it was raining. Later when it stopped raining went to my dads girlfriends house for a BBQ. Sammy tried his first pickle and his face was so funny I wish I would have had my video camera. He would scrunch his face up almost like he didn't like it but he just kept eating it. We walked to the park later for fireworks. He loved watching all the people who had sparklers he loves anything that light up. I wasn't sure how he would react to the fireworks since they also made really loud noises but he loved them. He had a lot of fun until the end when he started getting crabby since it was almost 11 and he would usually be in bed by then.

Oreo Truffles

I found this recipe out of a Better Homes and Garden Magazine. The picture in the magazine looks a lot better than mine. I don't know how to make them look pretty mine don't really look like truffles hahaha. My husband always says the stomach knows no beauty so i guess it doesn't really matter as long as it tastes good. They were easy to make and there is no baking required but you do have to heat up the white chocolate and it can get a little messy. They are really good but with so much chocolate I could only eat a few and I definitely needed a drink with them. You can find the recipe at www.bhg.com.
